Tree of Savior Class Guide - Archer. This is a full guide about Archer - the ranged physical class, who use bows and various secondary equipment. They are really good at long-ranged and agile attacks.

Been meaning to start playing again. The only character I use to have was a Chaplain and it was really fun.I feel like I want to do a melee character/swordsman based one and was wondering what's good nowadays? If there's anything like Chaplain, something that's good solo and has good buffs for party let me know. Thanks!edit: Inquisitor/Zealot/Lancer/Murmillo all seem cool, any of them good?My first character was cleric1,priest3,chaplain, any way to save it and make it into a good build?.
Why do I see so many Sw3, Cata3, Goon3 builds in game? Every person I see with a 2H spear, I inspect them and 9 times out of 10 they are Sw3, Cata3, Goon3, sometimes there will be a Pel1. And also I'm seeing recent Goon builds on tosbase being posted with Sw3, Cata3, Goon3 too.The build you linked is one I see often recommended, that or Sw2 without the Pel1.

It's actually the build I'm playing now, Sw2 variant tho.Sw3, Cata3, Goon3 is more of a 2H only focus I guess? Hop3 varients are more for 1h Spear + Shield? Cata will give you alot of mobility for farming mobs. These are the only obvious differences I can see between them all. Possibly because Sw3Cata3Goon3 still a decent pick for someone who wants a PVP/PVE hybrid, however it requires high investment due to Cata3 low damage output. The move speed and Peltasta rank(s) also makes farming easier but outside of that, Dragoon has little synergy with Cata, it's a class made for Lancer in most regards, especially with the new skill. I have played both, and if optimal damage in PVE content is your goal, Cata3 is a no go.
Pike is doable even on hoplite builds if you want to, 1h + spear is just more versatile overall for most PVE content. Cata3 is mainly for trot, that is completing the map exploration.
Before the Lancer was released, Dragoon was the only preferable route after Cata3. That is why there's a lot of old player S3Cata3D3. And besides, players that have these usually would just make a new alt to try new things. Not to mention all the spend attributes points. Also the roughly free 17M attribute points from previous event (you could get 20M, but I only manage roughly 17M each on my 11 characters). I ain't resetting any of those 11 characters, even though one of it is A3 Hunter3 Falconer3.
